Welcome to Thurgoland CE Primary. We provide a broad, rich curriculum which inspires our pupils and gives them a life-long love of learning. We have high expectations for all and ensure that the curriculum provides our children with key skills for the future, and a positive and resilient approach to learning. We understand the importance of working closely with our parents and pupils to meet individual needs. Please contact the office if you would like to arrange a visit to our caring, happy school.
Its been a very busy term. The children have enjoyed being historians, artists, designers and scientists, as well as mathematicians, readers and writers.
They have participated in a range of learning opportunities: creating puppets; designing and making tanks ; cooking potato soup and chilli and carrying out a range of science experiments. Learning has been enhanced by inspiring trips and visitors to school.
Our pupils have shown huge enthusiasm for sports clubs and competitions this term. Well done to all who have been involved and thank you to all our parents and grandparents for their support. As always we are aiming for all our pupils to participate in extra - curricular sports activities.
Pupils demonstrated their love of music this term. Our school choir have performed with Thurgoland Community Choir and audiences were impressed with their talent and exceptional behaviour.
Our carol service in church on Friday was a great success. As well as beautiful singing from our choir, we also enjoyed performances by our keyboard, guitar, ukulele and woodwind instrumentalists. Thank you to the children and to Mrs Davies and Mrs Lee for this wonderful evening.
