Fundraising Team

The Fundraising Team is a voluntary group run by Parents, Grandparents, Friends and carers.

What we do

We raise money to provide extra resources for all Thurgoland CE Primary children.

We subsidise trips and event, saving parents money.

We host different events including discos, bingo evenings, summer picnic and fair, Easter raffle and much more.

Friday Feast – The Friday Feast was created a few years ago to raise funds for the school and to provide our children with a sweet treat every other Friday after school.

Each class takes it in turns to bring into school some cakes or buns (homemade or shop bought) on their designated Friday. The parents/grandparents/carers of that class on that Friday then sell the buns for 50p each after school. It’s left to the parents/carers of that particular class to organise this amongst themselves.

The Friday feast is held in the lower play ground when the weather is fine or in the Shed of the upper playground when it’s raining. Please have a look on the Thurgoland Primary School’s Fund Raising Team’s Facebook page if you need any more details or if you would like to ask any questions.
